Photo Challenge: The Sun

There are lots of things that I am going to miss about White Mountain when we leave in a week. One of them is the vast tundra scenery-it's like no place on earth. I love every season in the tundra (obviously some more than others, especially when the winters here are so long!)

I am linking up one of my favorite photos that was taken just two weeks ago. We have been playing around with the fisheye lens on our DSLR and couldn't be more happy with the outcome:

My Heart...

Happy Monday, friends!

I am once again entering a photo contest over at Our Reflection. This week's theme is My Heart...  This weekend while I was cleaning up, I noticed that Bria can climb on the couch all by herself. This time, she wanted to visit Sierra. It's funny how pets seem to act and get treated as your child until you have your own, then they are pets once again! I'm so happy that Sierra and Bria are growing up to be so close. I swear, they love each other more and more each day!

Spring Has Sprung {Catch-up Post with Bullet Points}

**Warning: Photo Overload!**

Spring is perhaps the most exciting time of year for me. With the snow finally melting, and colors are starting to pop up again, it's refreshing that we get to see the world with a new perspective! These past two weeks I have been enjoying:

*Fresh flowers from full circle farm. I haven't liked getting flowers in the past because they die a few days later, but this was so special and brought so much color into our home and lives! Thank you Full Circle Farm!

*New change of fresh, organic fruits. Yum! Strawberries are our favorites! We have to get two orders of them because Bria it's one order by herself!

*The warm sunshine on our faces while playing out on the deck

*Watching my tummy grow and grow with this new life inside of me....I know she's just waiting to rock this world with her presence.

*Watching our first born explore the newfound ground beneath all the snow. Watching her grow and learn new things everyday.

*Bria's new bedtime routine (going to bed between 8:00-8:30) so that I can have sweet moments with just my husband.

*Getting outside with my family!

*Watching the river overflow on top of the ice

*hearing seagulls makes us feel like we are at the beach

I hope you have a weekend full of love, hugs, and laughter with the ones that are closest to you! Cherish each and every moment with them.

Weekly Photo Challenge: From a Low Angle

Okay folks! I have some pictures :) But first I want to show you just one !  It's going to be part of Our Reflections photo challenge. We went out yesterday and it was a perfect Spring day here and we had tons of fun taking photos of Bria finally playing with rocks! It was the very first time she played with rocks and dirt so it was kinda special!

Isn't her leg just the cutest? I think she had a hard time figuring out how she's supposed to walk on hard, dirt ground!

Faceless Portrait

You might remember this picture from last week, but I love it so much I'm going to share it again. This was taken right after Bria had a blow-out accident, we were washing her legs in the sink and she decided she wanted to sit down and play for a little bit. I think this is perhaps the very last time we will see our daughter be able to fit in a sink....Oh no...Here comes some *tears*....

Photo WAR!

Is it seriously already Tuesday?! Where did Monday go? And why isn't my preggo update up? 

Ahhhh... 

This is why: 

I have been organizing the thousands and thousands of pictures on my computer. What a pain it is! I have multiple folders of the same pictures where I have downloaded them onto my Blog, Photobucket, Facebook, etc. It's ridiculous.

I don't know the best way to organize my photos, but I am determined to figure out user friendly way.

How do you organize your thousands and thousands of pictures? I would LOVE to know and I would HEART you forever if you let me in on your little secret!!

I WILL have my 24 week update posted very soon. I promise :)

A Toddler's Best Friend...

Everyone says that dogs are A Man's Best Friend ... But what they neglect to tell you is that they are toddler's best friend too. Maybe even more so. Ever since Bria was born, Sierra (our Jack Russel) has been glued to her. Following her around like a ... Well, puppy!

Today I was in the kitchen cleaning and I could no longer hear or see Bria. I went through the house (it didn't take long, since it's so small!) and found this:

They are in Sierra's kennel!! 

These two are mischievous. They get into trouble all the time. They are always together. If one's doing something wrong the other is right next to her! Bria feeds Sierra food from the table (I know...I should stop this). Sierra licks Bria until she gets mad and then Bria will ask for more right after.

I swear. It's the most Sweetest relationship! 

Oh, wanna know something else that's pretty sweet? 

"Puppy" was Bria's very first word!

Photo Contest Winner!

I am stoked you guys. I just won a photo contest over at Our Reflection !!  She hosts a weekly contest, and last week was Childhood.  You can see my entry here When Bria was born I started taking photography a little seriously because I wanted to capture special moments. I have been glued to my camera every since (well, with the exception of the occasional break). A lot of you told me that some of her photos would win contests because she is just so dang cute, expressive, and photogenic. I bit the bullet and entered this little gem into the Childhood contest....

I can't take any credit for the picture. It was all because of Bria. She works the camera like no other!

Childhood

Childhood brings so many memories.

Have you ever heard of the phrase, "The eyes are the window to the soul" ? 

Well, I have always believed you can tell a lot about a person and their eyes...

Through the Lens Of A Child!

This last week, when I was downloading our MONSTER pictures, I found a bunch of pictures that my boys took of the classroom. It's amazing how little kids view their world around them. Take a look:
