Mangtak

Today I sat in the kitchen at 1 in the morning with my basketball gals at the SVA Savoonga school and ate mangtak! It was good. I'll upload pictures for proof of this spectacular event in my life!

King Polar Bears

Well, we finally had our first basketball games of the season. The Savoonga boys basketball team traveled to Gambell, while the Gambell girls made it to Savoonga. Both games went spectacular. Our boys beat Savoonga, and our girls lost by one little point 25-26. They did so well, and I'm so proud of them. This is the first time that I have coached by myself and it has been such an experience for me. The girls have been so good, and it has made my life more enjoyable. We play again tomorrow and then we fly home on Sunday, what a busy weekend!

What I'm Reading

This past Fall I have had enough time to start reading again! I have not been able to enjoy reading because of my college classes, which is a real bummer. I love reading, especially anything that is not academically written. Currently I am reading the Twilight Series and am on the second book New Moon. It's really good and I wish I was with Charley (my sister) while she was reading it as well. BUT we are back to reality and I have a huge reading list for my classes, so New Moon will be on hold for now :(...

Goodbye 2008...Hello New Year!

2008 came and gone in a flash. I can't believe that it's already 5 days into the year 2009. Where does time fly? Anwyay, here are some of my new years resolutions:

*Get into a healthy eating and exercise routine
*Do more pilates/Yoga and learn how to meditate
*Read the bible more (at least 3 X's a week)
*Keep a journal
*Finish anothers semester with a 4.0
*Stock up on Jewelry
*Get some shops from Ketchikan to display/sell my jewelry
*Finish my online shop
