Gambell, AK

For my husband's first teaching job, we moved all the way up to Gambell, Alaska which is a small Yupik village on St. Lawrence Island in the middle of the Bering Strait.  It was, to say the least, an adventure of a lifetime. We met amazing people, saw amazing scenery and learned about their diverse and vast culture all while doing what we truly love...Teaching. It was kind of sad to leave the place we made home for the 2008-2009 school year, but we were off on some more adventures!
