Baby Blues

It's been a whole week. A whole week of our baby not feeling good :( ... She came down with a cold last Tuesday night and has been having trouble sleeping ever since. We took her to the clinic and there was no sign of ear infection or anything and were told to just wait it out with some Ibuprofen and tylenol. I stayed home with her on Wednesday and Thursday and again on Tuesday (today). I love just cuddling with her. The way she just wants to sit on my lap and put her hand on my face, almost as if I'm the one who needs comforting.

I snapped the picture above last week and it was too precious not to share.

Also, our baby is a binky baby:

I will try and get a belly post up soon, but with a sick baby, cleaning and packing, not much time to make myself look "presentable" in front of the camera. Maybe I"ll do just a belly shot for ya!

Today's {Love} Letters

Dear Bria Eden,

Last night you did it again...You melted my heart Miss B. When I was trying to put you to sleep, you grabbed my hand and started stroking your face with my hand, I proceeded with your request until you fell asleep (I stroke your cheeks a lot to calm you down, or to put you to sleep faster :). Just when I thought you were sleeping, you grabbed my face with both your hands and planted a big kiss-a-roo on my lips with a big *smack*and smiled. Then you closed your eyes and were sleeping soundly. I don't think  Mama's realize how much we need our babies, perhaps it's even more than babies need their Mama's. Thank you Bria, thank you for filling my heart with love and joy. Love that I could not get anywhere else.  You amaze me in your ability to make anyone smile and laugh. You truly are one of a kind, baby. I pray that you will let the whole world know you are your own :)

Love,
Your Mama.

***********

Dear Bailey Ann,

I don't know what it is with my babies, but both you and your sister seem to know exactly what I need, when I need it! I had a not-so-fun dream the other night, and to reassure me, you moved around all day in my tummy as if to say, "mommy, I'm here and I'm not going anywhere!" Thank you sweet child, for giving Mama what I need, when I need it. Already you are a sweetie with a good heart. I can't wait to meet you. You, Bailey are so blessed. You have a Mommy that will love you, a Daddy that will treat you like the princess you are, a big sister that will teach you the ins and outs of babyhood, toddlerhood and more! You have a puppy that will love to lick your face, especially when you have food on it! Keep growing baby girl, grow strong and healthy. We are waiting for you with our arms wide open!

Love,
Your Mama.

Playground Fun

The weekends are going by so quickly! I'm glad that we have been taking more pictures lately because it seems to at least slow time down just a little bit. Saturday flew by and we didn't do much, my back has been aching so much so I hardly moved. On Sunday though, it was a tiny bit better and it was nice and sunny out so we decided to head to the playground-which by the way, is half dirt!! It was so cute watching Bria explore the new surroundings as the snow melts!

She was very intimidated being on the slide at first. I didn't think she was going to like it all that much...

Boy, was I wrong. She kept asking for Clint's had to help her up on the slide....

Our baby girl is such a good citizen. She already loves picking up trash and putting in the garbage. Not that we want our little girl touching trash from the ground, it's still a good trait to learn :)

Then we went sliding. This time, they went together.

We had such a wonderful day at the park! I can't wait until we have 2 littles running around the playground!!

How was your Sunday? I hope it was filled with as much family fun and smiles as ours. It was a precious moment to save in the corners of our memories.

Weekly Photo Challenge: From a Low Angle

Okay folks! I have some pictures :) But first I want to show you just one !  It's going to be part of Our Reflections photo challenge. We went out yesterday and it was a perfect Spring day here and we had tons of fun taking photos of Bria finally playing with rocks! It was the very first time she played with rocks and dirt so it was kinda special!

Here is the photo I am entering into the contest.

Isn't her leg just the cutest? I think she had a hard time figuring out how she's supposed to walk on hard, dirt ground!

Later today I will be posting a catch-all-post about what has been happening the last 2 weeks around the Shultz compound! Stay tuned for some goodies :)

Have a fabulous Friday everyone.

Easter Weekend Recap {Egg Hunt!!}

{Easter Box we received from Aunty Jamie and Nana: Some for Miss B. Some for Mama. Some for Daddy}

Easter was full of relaxation and fun! We got up early but not by choice. Bria was up and at 'em at 7:30! It's weird how kids seem to know that you can actually sleep in and want to play with you at the wee hours of the morning on the weekends, but when it's time to wake up on the week days, she wants nothing to do with it! Ugh. After we laid in bed for a while and played with her, we finally got up and Clint made omelets! Oh my goodness were they good! We watched some veggie tales (thanks Nana!) and played until it was time to go to church for a quick activity and the Easter egg hunt!

 {Can you find the Easter Eggs?}

{Mary giving a short message about Easter}

{Kiddos not in school received play dough. Bria took forever deciding which color she wanted. She picked blue!}

{Bria turned pro when we showed her once what to do...She found about 20 eggs by herself!!}

{She's such a big girl!}

{This is perhaps our most favorite dress we have received! It was handmade by Stephanie I can't wait to get my hands on a couple more!!}

After the Easter festivities at the church, we went home and Miss B and I took a long nap. Afterwards, she joined her Daddy in the doorway to soak up some much needed vitamin D while sitting on the bean bag!

As I'm typing this, I just realized we never got a family picture! {reminder to self: must get better at this!} Oh well, we got tons of pictures of Bria. I can't wait until we have 2 little Rugrats running around during the holidays!!

How was your Easter? I hope it was filled with loves, hugs, and laughter. Above all else, I hope it was a reminder of what Jesus did for us!!

Easter Weekend Recap {Sledding!!!}

On Wednesday night Bria came down with a cold. High fever and vomiting everywhere, so I stayed home with her Thursday and Friday. Thankfully she's felt back to her old self again on Friday night. Just in time for the weekend festivities to begin! We were so thankful that she was feeling better because on Saturday, it was a perfect day to go sledding!

This was the first time we have taken Bria out to go play in the snow. It is the first time that it has actually been warm enough to take her out! It was a little windy, but it has been a warm wind. Such a nice change in weather!

{I'm outta here!}

{Climbing the hill}

There's something about this little heart of mine that just skips a beat when I watch Clint with his daughter. Those Daddy/Daughter moments are precious and I love sitting back and taking it all in. She has him wrapped around her little finger and she is just smitten over him.

{Wooohooo!}

{**Heart Melting**}

{Mama's Turn!!}

{Showin' off her stuff}

It was so nice getting outside. I felt happiness, calmness, a sort of euphoria. It's amazing what a little outdoor adventure will do to the soul. Oh how I've missed our outdoor adventures. We are welcoming Spring with open arms and are eagerly awaiting summer!!

In the next post, later today I will share our Easter hunt photos!

Faceless Portrait

You might remember this picture from last week, but I love it so much I'm going to share it again. This was taken right after Bria had a blow-out accident, we were washing her legs in the sink and she decided she wanted to sit down and play for a little bit. I think this is perhaps the very last time we will see our daughter be able to fit in a sink....Oh no...Here comes some *tears*....

I am entering this photo in the weekly photo challenge over at Our Reflection! Make sure you head on over to see other precious photos!!

Wordless{ish} Thursday...

It seems only appropriate to post a Wordless Wednesday post on a Thursday seeing as how I'm almost 2 days behind schedule! Whoops. I guess life has gotten the best of me and took me for a whirlwind ride. For some reason I have been off a day this entire week. This morning I asked my kindergarten boys to take out their journals (which we only do on Wednesday's) "But teacher, it's already Thursday!" Wow! I guess it's better to be behind a day than to be one day ahead of schedule huh?

Anyway, Bria loves to rip off her diaper and run around in her birthday suit! However, on this particular day, she decided to pee, everywhere. All over her legs, all over the carpet...It was like we had another little puppy around the house!

Clint quickly took her to the bathroom to rinse her off in the sink and she decided to sit down. She decided that this was a good place to play for a little while. So, being the good parents we are, we let her just sit in the bathroom sink and play for a good ole' 15 minutes :).

I think this may be the last time she will be able to fit in the sink, so of course, this Mama took some pictures!

{oh baby, i love your little rattail!}

{oh baby, how your smile makes my heart sing!}

A Toddler's Best Friend...

Everyone says that dogs are A Man's Best Friend ... But what they neglect to tell you is that they are toddler's best friend too. Maybe even more so. Ever since Bria was born, Sierra (our Jack Russel) has been glued to her. Following her around like a ... Well, puppy!

Today I was in the kitchen cleaning and I could no longer hear or see Bria. I went through the house (it didn't take long, since it's so small!) and found this:

They are in Sierra's kennel!!

These two are mischievous. They get into trouble all the time. They are always together. If one's doing something wrong the other is right next to her! Bria feeds Sierra food from the table (I know...I should stop this). Sierra licks Bria until she gets mad and then Bria will ask for more right after.

I swear. It's the most Sweetest relationship!

Oh, wanna know something else that's pretty sweet?

"Puppy" was Bria's very first word!

The photo below is one I'm entering into the Something Sweet photo challenge over at Our Reflection.

If you have some extra time, go over there to get a sweetness fix. There are many, many, many sweet photos!

Spring Break!!

Unfortunately, because it's still in the negative temperatures here, we will be doing the majority of our spring activities inside. However, with Bria it is nothing short of boring... So, for our first day we did some pretty wild and crazy things...

we played "babies" which is becoming her favorite game. We crawl around and we hush our babies...

we eat with a fork for the first time....and love it so much this is the only way we will eat gushy, slimy food...

we take cushions off the couch and then hop and jump and scream and play with Sierra...

we grab Daddies legs so he can't go outside. We like him so much we don't want him to leave our sight...ever...

we create wild and beautiful things...

"Stop taking pictures, Mom!"

{I need to figure out a way to get Clint and I in these pictures. I want Bria to remember that we got down and played with her!}

We are on our way to Nome today to find out if Baby Love #2 is a prince or princess! Please pray with us for a healthy, happy baby!!
